The JP Centre Yoga Foundation expands access to yoga through inclusive local and international initiatives.

DZALEKA REFUGEE YOGA PROJECT

JP Centre Yoga Foundation supported the construction of a dedicated yoga studio where we train refugees to become certified yoga teachers. We provide every graduate with paid employment for teaching free yoga classes throughout the camp, expanding access to its 60,000 residents.

BIPOC YOGA TEACHER FELLOWSHIP

We provide full teacher training scholarships to aspiring yoga teachers of color and pair each recipient with an experienced BIPOC yoga teacher for a full year of one-on-one mentorship.

“representation is important and it meant everything to be mentored by an experienced, woman of color, yoga instructor”

INCREASED ACCESS PROJECT

We employ yoga teacher training graduates to provide free classes throughout Boston. In partnership with libraries, community centers, recovery programs, and other local organizations, we bring yoga directly to communities facing financial, geographic, and social barriers to access.
